MORE TAXATION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —At the recent Property Tax meeting held in the Volunteer Hall, Mr Mendeison advocated a lax upon meiclianls of L 5 and LlO. Now, sir, this would be just, but there is another class of individuals whom I think should be relieved of a few pounds per annum by way of liconso I aliude to stable-keepjrs Con sidermg the robbery that these persons are carrying on at the present time, I think hs high time that attention was paid to them Just fancy having to pay them 2s per feed ofoalsfora horse, while good feed oats can be bought for 9d and lOd per bushel I think that this rascality should be at once stopped, and I hope that the County Council will give this matter their attention afc an early date.
