The Rndicals are signing a petition tor the recall of Sir Bartle Frere from the Governorship at the Cape Mr Gladstone evidently hopes Sir Bartle Frere will resign, and the Cabinet are c'ivided on the question. A telegram in the " Standard " says that the emeute in Burmah} is , still progressing. *
A "Standard" felegram states that the Arabs of Badgad demand self government under the protection of England.
Intellegence has been receive-! that Mahomed Jan is collecting «n z army at Zurmut, and is short'y expected to resume hostile operations. The agitation anion*; the Ra-Jie.-iIo against the appointment of Sir Bartle Frere as High Commissioner and Governor ot the (Jape is reviving. The extreme members of 111-- party are now clamoring for Sir Bartle Frere's recall. Many Jesuits that have been ex<e']rd from France haw g'-ne to (Switzerland for refuge, but are not allow-d to remain. TVIr Parnell has given notice of his intention to move, in the House of Commons that Sir Bartle Prere l*- recalled from the Cape.
