It has been announced that the measures to be introduced by the Gladstone Ministry having inference to Ireland will be confined to the legislation for the relief of the distress in that country. The Australians commenced their second match to day j»t Derby, where they met eleven of Derbyshire The Australians went first to the wickets and scored 129 in their innings. Bannerman made the top score of 32. The English team then went in, and the Aus tr'ah'ans succeeded in getting them all oat for 45 runs. In this Spofforth and Palmer each took five wickets. The Derby shire men then followed their innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day thry had mad e2l runs with ihe loss of one wicket. The weather during the whole day was fine, and the ground was lively and suited the Australians.
