Your Visiting Committee would urge the necessity of not taking the average attendance with wet clays inclusive as they believe that by so doing the correct average cannot be ascertained, and would be much higher by omitting them. Your Committee also wish to draw attention to the entrance to the schoolroom, which detracts greatly to the comfort and appearance of the school; they also found the children’s hats and jackets thrown indiscriminately together on the benches outside, and we would respectfully submit that sometl ing ought to be done in this respect, via, the building of four cloak rooms ; this could be done by cutting away the verandah, an ! carrying the building further out Wc would urge the Committee to bring this before the Board’s notice at an early date The Committee would also draw attention to the lavatory, which (when the door is shut) is quite dark, and we would suggest that, a sm-11 window be put in on the west side ; towels arc also wanted Re the..general discipline of the school we are pleased to be able to record the pleasure which our visit accorded na We must not omit in closing our report fcb congratulate Miss Ball on the general efficiency of the infants under her charge, the singing of the little ones showing the care she must have exercised The general appearance of the grounds show the change in the caretaker to have fully justified the Committee in the step they have taken A vote of thanks to the Chairman ter initiated the proceedings.
