BANKRUPTCY ACCOUNTANTS.
ro THE EDITOR OP THE TEMUKA LEADER. Sir,— It baa often struck me. as something singular, that Teinuka, with all its list of accountants, commission agents etc., has none in its lists of certificated accountants in bankruptcy ; that one is »1> i solute ly necessary, is more than abundantly clear from the very numerous bankruytey cases, that have occurred her® - during the last twelve months ; and in a majority of cases a certificated accountant has had to be called in from Timarn, or persons appointed who have been notoriously incompetent. I have known in these bankruptcy cases insignificant creditors to be appointed trustees, whose limited knowledge of their business has ; caused what would otherwise have been good estates to turn out simply worthless, the estates being swallowed up in needless expense. Several estates in this district are glaring witnesses of my statement. Hoping some or other of my ?eilow townsmen (who I know are tho* r roughly competent) will take the hint, aa f.j I think it will amply repay them,—l’m,etc; JUSTICE.
