Mr G. Dyson has been appointed Registrar of voters’ for the election of a member for the House of Representatives, and he will be at the R.M. Court on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m, to 2 p.m., to receive the names of ejectors, and to give particulars. It may not be gener_ ally known that there is an alteration in the Registration Act, so we would poiat out that no leaseholder is now entitled to have his name on the roll on that claim, but any male who has resided in the district six months is entitled to a vote, even if he has. no freehold or leasehold property ; any male who has property worth L 25 in houses®nr land not rented is entitled to a vote. It is needful to warn those who may be trusting to votes on account of

leaseholds that unions the.' possess either of the above qualifications, fheir names will be strtick off the roll.
