Regulations for the Licensing and Management of Slaughter House b, and Inspection there of, an<l of Cattle intended for Slaughter in the County of Geraldine. FN Pursuance of tiio provisions of “The § Slaughter Houses Act, 1877 ” the County douuiil or the County of Geraldine hereby order as follows, that is to say :—• Interpretation. 1. Wherever in these Regulations any of ihe terras mentioned in section sof the said Act are used, such term shall _in the construction hereof have the meanings assigned to them by the said section of the Paid Act, unless there be something in the context or subject-matter repugnant thereto. Any person or persons slaughtering, or permitting to be slaughtered, cattle for sale, barter, or shinping, shall pay to the Clerk of the Council a fee for a license or renewal of a license as follows, viz. ; If the number slaughtered is not more than two laree or per week, the sum of L2 j if Jgore/jfan two large or ten small cattle per week fhe sum of L 5. Every keeper (ft a Slaughter-house shall at all times ke*> the same and the premises connected therewith, and the appurtenances theretolbelonging, in a clean state, free from offensive effluvia, and in all respe* ts to the satisfaction of any Inspector appointed, or to be appointed under the said Act ; and every such keeper of a slaughter-house shall so dispose of 11 10 blood, offal, drainage, and other refuse-metier therefrom,, that the same shall not create a unisimc -, nor he offensive to >tjrsnns residing or being in or passing through the neighborhood of such slaugbtt r-house ; ami no keeper of a slaughter-house shall permit any blood, offal, drainage, or refuse-matter to accumulate in or upon or about the same, or on tha premises connected therewith, or to flow, fall, or he thrown or put into any river, stream, drain, or waierciutrso. Everyperson who shall commit a breach of the above Regulations shall, on conviction thereof, be liable to a penalty not evcoeding five pounds.
