The annual meeting of the above Club took®placo on Wednesday last, and proved a great success,the ground being thronged with spectators, who attended Mr Thompb m’s booth pretty well throughout the day. There were several games on the ground, such as Aunt Sally, the ‘ totalisator,’ and others. The first event to be run was the Open handicap Hurdle Race, only three horses coming to the scratch. In the Cup, of which Caetout was the winner, a protest was entered against him Protests against Milo and Castout in the Publi. ana’ Purae, and Billy in the Trotting Race, will also be dealt with.
