' N Pursuance of the provisions of '"The X Slaughter Act, 1877 " th-s Council of the County of Geraldine hereby order as follows, tliat is to say u : — j % Interpretation. 1. Every keeper of a slaughterhouse shall at all times keep the same and the premises connected therewith, and the appurtenances thereto belonging, in a clean Ist ate, free from offensive effluvia, and in all respects to the satisfaction of the Inspector appointed, or to be appointed, under the snid Act; and every such keeper of a slaughterhouse shall so dispose of the blood, offal, drainase, and other refuse matter therefrom, that the same shall not create a nuisance, nor be offensive to persons residing, or being in, or passing through the neighbourhood of such slaughterhouse ; and no keeper of a slaughterhouse shall permit any blood, offal, drainage, or refuse matter to accumulate in or upon or about the same, or on the premises connected therewith, or to flow, fall, or be thiown or put into any river etream, drain, or watercourse.
