Mklbourse, Fob. 28. Tito following exhihi.tors at the Melbourne Juvenile Exhibition have been awaided silver medals :—A. P. McCarthy, Joseph Bentley, Fred. McCarthy, F. Ange, Maggie Armslrong, PJlcanor C. Sperry, all residents of Dunedin ; Edward N. Earraud, of Wang mui ; Henry J. Bilton and H. M. Dohson, of Christchurch; Dennis O'Bri n, of Wellington. Now Zealand exhibitors were also awarded ten first class certificates,- five second ones, and eight third ones. Sydney, Feb. 28. _ The total subscriptions ob.ained in this colony towards the Irish ll.diof Fund amount to L 20,000. : .,jThree per cent consols are quoted at 97f. Adelaide wheat and flour are unchanged. The proprietors of the Sydney Evening News have been ordered to show cause why they should not be committed for contempt for again publishing the evidence in the trial of Shepherd v. Dibbs. which was [ rohibitod by a Judge's order.
