N pursuance of|the provisions of “ The B Slaughter Act, 1877,’’ the County Council of the® County of Geraldine do hereby order as follows, that is to say : 1. Interpretation-Wuerever in thes-* Regulations any of the terms mcn- * tinned in section sof the said Act are used, such terms shall, in the construction hereof, have the meaninf? assigned to them by the said section oC the said Act, unless there be something in the context or subject-matter repugnant thereto. 2. Fees— Any person or persons slaughtering, or permitting to be slaughteredt catt> f sale, barter or shipping, sialf v\ to the Clerk of the Councilla Fee Ipr a license, or Renewal as follows.; viz.—lf th<lnumber slaughtered is not more thin Two Large or Ten Small Cattle per week, the sum of L2:if more than two Large or Ten Small Cattle per week, the sum of L 5 ~ 8, Slaughter-houses to, bo kept cean. Every keeper of a Slaughter-house shall* at all times keep the same, and the premises connected therewith, and the appurtenances thereto belonging, in a clean state, free from offensive effluvia, and in all respects to the satisfaction of any Inspector appointed, or to be appointed, under the said Act ; and every such keeper of a Slaughteihouse shall so dispose of the blood, offal, drainage, and other refusematter therefrom that the same shall not create a nuisance, nor be offensive to persons residing or being in or passing through the neighborhood of such slaughterhouse; and no keeperof a slaughterhouse shall permit any blood, offal, drainage, or r fuse-matter to accumulate, in, or upon, or about the game, or on the premises connected therewith, or to flow, fall, or be thrown, or put into any river, stream, drain, or water-course. Every person who shall commit a breach of the above I Regulations shall, on conviction thereof, be liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds.
