REGULATIONS FOR THE LICENSING AND MANAGEMENT OF SLAUGHTER HO I SES AND IN SPECTION THEREOF, AND OF CATTLE INTENDED FOR SLAUGHTER IN THE COUNTY OF GERALDINE.

IN pursuance of Hie provisions of “ The Slaughter Act, 1877,” the County Courcil of the County of Geraldine do hereby order as follows, that is to say : 1. Interpretation- Wherever in thesi Regulations any of the terms mentioned in section 5 of the said Act are used, such terms shall, in the construction hereof, have the meanino, assigned to them by trie said section of the said Act, unless there ■ be something in the context or subject-matter repugnant thereto. 2. Any person, or persons slaughtering large and small cattle for sale not exceeding two large or ten small cattle shall pay a License Fee of 3i2ann#Hly, an( l other persons who JBlaughter above the, number of twg large and ten email cattle per w#k for sale shall pay a „ License Peapf £5 annually 6. f laughter-hdßses to be kept clean. Every keeper of a Slaughter-house shall* at all times keep the same, and the premises connected therewith, and the appurtenances thereto belonging, in a clean state, free from offensive effluvia, and in all respects to the satisfaction of any Inspector appointed, or to be appointed, under the said Act 5 ana every such keeper of a Slaughterhouse .shall so dispose of the-blood, offal, drainage, and other refusematter therefrom that the same shall not create a nuisance, nor be offensive to persons residing or being in or. passing tnrough. the neighborhood ,of such slaughterhouse; and no keeper of a slaughterhouse shall permit any blood, onal, ' drainage, or refuse-matter to accn-> mutate, in, or upon, or about the same, Or on the premises connected therewith, or to flow, fall, or be thrown, or put into any ri\ er, ptream, drain, or water-course. Every person who shall commit a breach of the above Regulations shall, on conviction thereof, be liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds.
