"N purs-xiance of the provisions of '• The Slaughter Act, 1877," the County Council of the County of Geraldins do hereby order ns follows, that is to say : 1. Interpretation— Wherever in thes.' RegiiiiUoiis any of the terms mensection sof the s'iid Act are nsfd/sufeh terms shall, in the constifictioif hereof, ha v.: the meaning asligpetl to thfm by said sectionof the said Act, unless there be something in the context or subject-matter repugnant thereto. 9. A.iy person or persons slaughtering I .rgo and smali cattle tor si\le not exceeding two large or ten small cattle per week, shall pay a License Fee of £2 annually, and nil other persons who slaughter above the number of two large and ten small cattle per week for sale shall pay a License Fee of £5 annually 3. Slaughter-houses to be kept clean. Every keeper of a Slaughter-house shall" at all times keep the same, and the premises connected therewith, and the appurtenances thereto belonging, in a clean state, free from offensive effluvia, and in all respects to the satisfaction of any Inspector appointed, or to be ap- i pointed, under the snid Act ; and every such keeper of. a Slaughterhouse shall so dispose of the blood, offal, drainage, and other refusematter therefrom that the same shall not create a nuisance, nor be offensive to persons residing or being in or passing through the .neighborhood of such slaughterhouse; and no keeper of a slaughterhouse shall permit any blood, offal, drainage, or refuse-matter to accumulate, in, or upon, or about the same, or on the premises connected therewith, or to flow, fall, or be thrown, or put into any river, stream, drain, or water-course. Ever? person who shall commit a breach of the above Regulations shall, on conviction thereof, be liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds.
