' Sire, Emperor. Emperor lias gained three first and three second prizes. Emperor’s sire, Napoleon (imported by Mr Nimmo). Napoleon, by G. Buchanan’s Emperor, is out of Nancy (imported), bred by A. Finlay, Esq., Saudyhills, near Glasgow. Nancy by the celebrated Garnary Horse, and her dam by Scotsman. Nancy was first shown as a three-year old, and got first prize at Hamilton, first at Balliestan, second at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was next year shown as a brood mare at Glasgow and Kilbride, where she received similar honors. Conqueror took the first prize as a two-yr. old a' the Blueskin Show, 1875, and second prize for All-Comers and Aged Hors s at the same show, and at Oarnaru the following year took second prize as a three-year old in a field of nine competitors.
