Conqueror was bred by Mrs Miller, West Taieil, out of the celebrated Kate (Imported from Tasmania), and id btjr oat of the celebrated mare Kite by tho late Mr Jaynes S’£|aclia/). f Sire, 3ms gained three first and Napoleon (imported by Mr Nimnio). Napoleon, by C>. Buchanan's Emperor, is out of Nancy (imported), bred by A. Finlay, Esq., Sandvhills, near Glasgow. Nancy by tho celebrated Garnary Horse, and her dam by Scotsman. Nancy was first shown as a three year old, and got first prize at Hamilton, first at Palliestan, second at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was next year shown as a brood mare at Glasgow e.nd Kilbride, where she received similar honors. Conqueror took the first prize as a two-yr. old a; the Plueskin Show, 1875, and second prize for All-Comers and Aged Hors is at the same show, and at Oaiuaru the following year took second prize as a three-year old in a field of nine competitors.
