Prince Labanoff, the Russian Ambassador, has advised the Porte to assent to English demands, but to refuse any request for cession of territory. The Golos declares that in the event of the entry of the Biitish squadron into the Euxine, Russia will regard it as a causus belli. The Daily News states the British demands consist of the appointment of Englishmen as Coliectors and Insp.ctors of Turkish finances, of the formation of Police under British officers, and of Courts with English Judges. Sam Kee, a butcher at Palmer Hill, stabbed himself with a knife.
