Melbourne., Oct. 15. The Hon. Graham Berry..is now convalescent. He attended the Assembly last night. The estimates are now under discussion in the Lower House. The John Watson’s cargo of oats from Timaru has been stored in Melbourne, waiting better prices. Tasmanian feed oats are at 3s Id. Savanaka is second favorite for the Melbourne Cup at 100 to 14. Oct. 16. Le Loup is well backed for the Cup. Sydney, Oct. 16. Since the opening of the Exhibition, 110,000 pessons have paid for admission. Arrived—Hero, from Auckland ; H.M.S. Emerald. Adelaide, Oct. 16. The Legislative Assembly have read a second time a Bill authorising a new loan. The Treasurer stated that the amount to be floated next year would not exceed .£250,300.
