SATURDAY’S FOOTBALL MATCH.

TO THS EDITOR. Sir, —At the request of some of the local players, I wish to correct an error in your report of last Saturday’s football match— Tima.ru v. Temuka. In your report of the game you give Timaru the credit of one goal and one touchdown, Temuka four touchdowns. It should have been Timaru I goal, Temuka 5 touchdowns. I may aho mention it was Temuka who lost one of their best men during the last spell, who had to leave by the train. Timaru played with all their men throughout. I might suggest to make the report of these games more authentic, it would be well to confer with the captain of the team or the umpires, who would be responsible in the absence of an official footbal scribe. Yours, etc., F. Tavendee, Capt. -Temuka F.O.
