THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CONNAUGHT.
c The Daily Times ' London correspondent thus refers to the honeymoon pleasures of the above happy couple whose marriage rejoicing were so heartily joined in by all throughout the. British Dominions :—"The Duke and Duchess of Connaughtare having what ' the Americans call a thorough, "good \ time " of it on their honeymoon trip. The Royal yacht Osborne, a floating palace for comfort, is at their disposal, and the happy pair wander about at their own sweet will, enjoying them- | selves as perfectly, and as absurdly fond j of each other, as if they were plain Darby and Joan. Lately they have been touring through Spain, visiting the sweet orange-groves of Seville,; or unconsciously echoing the last sigh of the Moor as they gazed on the fallen grandear of Granada, or drinking # in the bright sunshine of merry Andalasia. Portugal has also received them with Royal honours, and they have marvelled together at the quaint sights of Lisbon. Thence the Osborne conveyed them to Gibraltet, where the Prince took his young wife round the endless galleries, casemates, and batteries of the honeycombed old rock, and pointed'out to her where, in the early days of his soldiering, he had commanded the guard, or trained the guns. After receiving the soldierly hospitality of Napier of Magdala, the Soyal visitors again embarked on the Osbo me, sailing eastwards, aud will visit many other parts of the Mediterranean, where genial spring is now working all her loveliest effects. To take such a trip as this in such a yacht as the Osborne must be real and luxurious delight."
