INLAKD. The rate, for Inland Telegrams of 10 words is Is ; and Id extra for every .additional word. On Sundays these rates are doubled. To charge for addresses and signature up to 10 words —ld each beyond that number. FOUEIGS. The following’ arc the, Tates for Telegrams for twenty words or less (including Melbourne or Sydney rates) via Port Darwin and the Java Cable :
Via Sydney the rates'are 3s more throughout. Telegraph offices are open from 9 a.m to 5 p.rn. on Aveeh days, and from 10 to 10.80 a.m. and 5 to 5.30 p.m. o Sundays.
NEW ZEALAND CABLE. (In addition to Ncuv Zealand charges) Telegrams for Sydney only.—First ton Avords, 8s ; each additional Avord, All other stations in New South Wales. —First ten words Ss (id ; each additional word lOd. All stations in Victoria. —First ten words 9s Gd ; each additional Avord lid. All stations in Houth Australia, exclusive of overland line tariff.—Same
as Victoria. All stations in Tasmania. —First ten words, 18s Gd ; Is per Avord for Australian and Noav Zealand Cable, and 2s for every additional five Avords or fraction of five Avords, for Tasmanian cable. Messages for London and places in Europe (a Avord rate), —Ten shillings and sixpence per word ; to Avhich must ae added Australian Cable and Australian charges. —First ten Avords or iraclion, 9s Gd, and every Avord after ten j |d pci- word.
