It is officially announced by the Russian Government that the evacuation of the Turkish provinces will terminate by the 25th of July. The wool salts opened to-day with an advance of a halfpenny to a penny ou cross-breds. Numerous destructive fires have occuired in Eastern Russia. They are believed to have been caused by incendiaries. AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, May 19. Weiberg, the Avoca gold robber, has been captured near the Darwin river. He surrendered after three shots had been fired at him. The detectives recovered additional 850 sovereigns, the proceeds of the Avoca gold robbery, and which were sent by Weiberg to Melbourne to purchase a small vessel to facilitate Ins escape. Weiberg has been ro-lodged in the Melbourne gaol. Sydney, May 19. A rowing match has been arranged between Trickett and Haycock, for £2OO aside and the championship of the world. The match is fixed for the 30th August next.
