L\ND DISTRICT OF CANTERBURY. -VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, Jj(j pursuant to an Order in Council, dated the 20th March, 1870, the undermentioned Crown Lands, situate between the rivers Ashbuiton and Raugitnta. and known as the old railway Reserves, will be submitted to Public Auction, at Messrs Bullock and Co.'s A.tction Rooms, Ashbnrlon, on TUESDAY, the 29th April, 1870, «t 12 o'clock noon, About IGOOI Aytjes within Reserve 350, being af Mock of land one mill wide, aonimeneing at Tinwall, land extending southwesterly towards the river Hinds about three miles. 1150 acres tfereof will be offered for cash in lots vaijying from 16 acres to 80 acres, the purchase money being 1 payable one-fourth at the sale, and the remainder witir'n one month ; and 450 acres in similar lots, on deferred payments, extending over ton years, the purchase money being payable by .twenty halfyearly instalments, and subject to the provisions of the " Land Act, 1877," part 3, relating; to land on deferred payments. About 5800 Acres within Reserves 1371, 1381, and 1650, between the Hinds Township and the river Rangitata, lying on both sides of the Southern Railway line. 3800 acres thereof will be offered for cash, and 2000 acres on deferred payments as above, and in lots varying from 80 acres to 320 acres. Plans and Sale List, with the upset price of each lot, may be seen at the Land Offices at Christchurch and Timaru, at all Railway Stations as far South as Oamnru. and at the principal hotels and Police Stations in South Canterbury ; and may also be obtained on application by letter addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch.
