London. Feb. 25. An English and French frigate hare come to Alexandria to watch events in Kgypt. The first; call of the Glasgow Bank yielded two millions. The estimated liabilities hare been reduced, and full payment of the Bank's debts is expected to he made. The French Prince Imperial is going to Natal to witness the campaign against the Zulus. February 2G. Mr Berry to-day met the Secretary of State for the Colonies, and urged the necessity for Imperial legislation, or other intervention in the 'Victorian difficulty, as otherwise, under actual circumstances, it was incapable of adjustment. The interview was a private one. Mr Berry regards it as satisfactory. Another will take place in a few days. Bombay, Feb. 2G. Russian interests at Cabul, since the withdrawal of the mission, have been watched by an embassy from the Khan of Khelat sent by Russian instructions. The Paris 'Liberte' says: " To accomplish the work of civilisation the Liberal polioy of England, whether it acts in Europe or Asia, is for Franco an incontestable force. Let .England, therefore, continue on to her gaol, and if British interests find their satisfaction more particularly therein, those of France and the world will also find theirs ; England being the embodiment of civilisation, freedom, and advancement."

Sydney, Feb. 26. Four young bushrangers, who lately started business on the Yarra river, were captured yesterday. One trooper was shot through the back. It is announced here that large exhibits of wool will be sent from New Zealand to the Exhibition. The English footballers will not come to the colonies. The Dubbo police have captured two incipient busi i ran gers. The Chinese crew of the Wodonga struck for increased wages. The Company eventually granted their discharge at full wages. They are a good riddance.
