A considerable number-of live stock; horses, cattle, sheep, and pigs will be penned in Marshall’s yards. Other goods will be disposed of in or about the Volunteer Hall. A liberal supply of refreshments is to be provided, which will, of course, be expected to ho liberally paid for. I -Timaru Harbor Board.—The Temuka Road Board met on Monday for the purpose of electing a person to sit on the above Board. Only three members attended—Messrs Talbot (Chairman), Hayhurst, -and Barker. Mr Hayluirst proposed Dr Rayner, and Mr Barker proposed Mr K. F. Gray. The Chairman had 2 )ro forma to second both nominations. He gave hia deciding vote, in favor of Mr Gray, saying that he (Mr Gray) had served the district as a member of the Timaru Harbor Board most satisfoctorily, and there was not the slightest reason for wishing to supersede him. Dr Raynor, who was present, protested that the election wa« not valid. The Board were not competent to elect. The cR.-lion 'hoidd have Iwon > - ond ■rtrn
