Wednesday, Nov. 6. [Before A. LeG. Campbell, E<q., R.M.] POLICE CASES. James Anderson was charged with having assaulted Henry Heysed, on the 18th October last. As the complainant’s counsel (Mr Hainersley) was not in attendance, an adjournment was granted at the request of the complainant. Edmund Perry was charged with having a ferocious dog at large unmuzzled. Robert Morrison sworn, gave evidence that on the 23rd October last the said dog had bitten his little boy, about eight , years old, on the hip when going down to school in the morning, and that the dog should either be kept tied up, muzzled, or destroyed for the public good. Edmund Perry sworn, said that the dog was very quiet, and would not attempt to bite any pei’son unless he was set on to do so, which was the case m the present instance, for the boy Millard was clapping bis bands, which caused the dog to bite the child.
