The Temuka Leader has now completed its first quarter under its new management and proprietorship, and. we now desire to thank the numerous kind friends who have so generously favored us as subscribers and advertisers. The large increase in its circulation over what it was able to obtain under either of its former proprietors and managers we take as a proof that the journal has considerably improved. We are not satisfied, however, with this modicum of progress, but will double our diligence io make it a journal that, while faithfully recording the doings and sayings of public men throughout the colony, will also, and more particularly, endeavour to make it a true exponent of the views and dispositions of the leading men in the Geraldine County. No expense will be spared in order to make the journal a useful medium for advertising, by making a way for it into every household. The quarter being now ended, and proof having been given of our earnestness in our endeavors to please our friends and make the Temuk a Leader a permanent institution in our midst, we invite our subscribers to take advantage of the liberal scale of charges for cash, which we trust, will be taken advantage of, to wit 21s per year for cash, 6s per quarter cash’, and 7s if booked.
