For nil horses that have never won public money. Entrance £2 on night of general entry. (2 p.m.) Publicans' Purse Handicap of 25 Sovs. (District Race.) One Mile and a Half. Entrance £2 on night of general entry. (2 30 p.m..) Temuka Cup Handicap of 40 Sovs., with a Sweepstake of £3 each, added. For all Horses. Distance about Two Miles. Nominations of £1 to be sent in not later tlian 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 26th, addressed to the Secretary. Weights to be declared on Friday, October 4th next, and published. Acceptances of £2 on night of (3 15 p.m.) Hack Selling Pace of 15 Sovs. (District Pace.) Post entries. Half-Mile Heats. For all horses that have never won public money. Consolation Handicap of 15 Sovs. Distance, One Mile. Entranced £1 Is. Open to all beaten horses at the Meeting. Entry immediately after the Hack Selling Race. Rules and Regulations. (1.) The Geraldine Jockey Club Rules strictly adhered to, except where they interfere with the carrying out of the undermentioned Rules and Regulations. (2.) No entry will be'received for any of the races except upon this condition, That all disputes shall be decided by the Committee, whose decision shall be final. (3.) No protest, will be entertained unless given in writing, and accompanied with a deposit of £2 2s, within] ten minutes after the race, which deposit will be forfeited should the protest prove frivolous. (4.) There must be three entries, or no race. (5.) No person to enter a horse (except for Post Entry Races) unless a member of the Club, or to enclose a Qualification Fee of £1 Is. (6) All entries to be enclosed, and addressed to the Secretary, Temuka, and sent in not later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October Sth next, enclosing entrance fees, name of horse, age, pedigree, if known, name of owner, (.) No horse shall be allowed to run in any District Race unless he shall have remained within the district, and have been the bona fide property of an owner residing within ten miles of the course for two months immediately preceding the day of meeting. (8.) Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme, for GEORGE BOLTON, Hon. Sec. On Easy Terms, a valuable FARM, within a few miles of Temuka, containing 100 a. 2r. 33p., fenced in, all u ider crop, with a most promising slioiv of wheat, which is first corn crop, only preceded by turnip crop consumed on the land.
