The Peel Forest Estate, containing 6362 acres of freehold, 16,000 acres of leasehold, and 1287 acaes of reserve, together with 13,500 sheep, was sold last week for L 45,000. Messrs M‘Lean and Winter sold, on September 3, a farm of 495 acres at L 6 15s ; and another, 200 acres, at L 9 ; also, a section in South Rakaia township for L6O. On Saturday, 31st August, Messrs Matson and to. sold 106 sections in Little River township t or a total of L 3589 10s, or about LI2O per acre. On Thursday last Mr Ohas. Clark sold 737 acres near Southbridge, in five farms, at L 25 2s per acre. Two other lots were bought in at L2B 10s.
