(1 p.m.) Hurdle Race Handicap of 30 Sovs- For all Horses. Distance about Two Miles, over eight flights of hurdles. Nominations of £1 to be sent in| not later than 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 20th, addressed to the Secretary. Weights to be declared on Friday, October 4th next, and published. Acceptances of £1 10s on night of general entry. (1 30 p.m.) Maiden Plate of 25 Sovs., (District Race) Distance, One Mile and a Quarter. Weight for Age. For all horses that have never won public money. Entrance £2 on night of general entry. (2 p.m.) Publicans’ Purse Handicap of 25;Sovs. (District Race.) One Mile and a Half. Entrance £2 on night of general entry. (2 30 p.m.) Temuka Cup Handicap of 40 Sovs., with a Sweepstake of £3 each, added. For all Horses. Distance about Two Miles. Nominations of £1 to be sent in not later than 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 26th, addressed to the Secretary. Weights to be declared on Friday, October 4th next, and published. Acceptances of £2 on night of general entry. (3 15 p.m.) Hack Selling Race of 15 Sovs. (District Race.) Half-Mile Heats, Winner to be sold for £2O immediately after the race. To carry 9at.. 71bs allowed for every reduction of £5 on selling price of horse. Any surplus to go to the Race Fund. Entrance, £1 1s on night of general entry. Consolation Handicap of 15 Sovs. Distance, One Mile Entrance £1 Is. Open to all beaten horses at the Meeting. Entry immediately after the Hack Selling Race.
Rules and Regulations. (1.) The Geraldine Jockey Club Rules strictly adhered to, except where they interfere with the carrying out of the undermentioned Rules and Regulations. (2.) No entry will be received for any of the races except, upon this condition, That all disputes shall bo decided by the Committee, whose decision shall be final. (3.) No protest will be entertained unless given in writing, and accompanied with a deposit of £2 2s, within ten minutes after the race, which deposit will be forfeited should the protest prove frivolous. (4.) There must be three entries, or no race. (5.) No person to enter a horse (except for Post Entry Races) unless a member of the Club, or to enclose a Qualification Fee of £1 Is. (6) All entries to be enclosed, and addressed to the Secretary, Temuka, and sent in not later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October Bth next, enclosing entrance fees, name of horse, age, pedigree, if known, name of owner, and colours of the rider. (7.) No horse shall be allowed to run in any District Race unless he shall have remained within the district, and have been the bona fide property of an owner residing within ten miles of the course for two months immediately preceding the day of meeting, (8.)
