Visitors Entertained

Visitors to the New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders' and New Zealand Pig Breeders* Association conferences were yesterday guests of the New Plymouth Jersey Cattle Breeders' Club and the Taranaki branch of the Pig Breeders' Association at a re-union in the Mon Desir tearooms last night. Vocal duets were sung by Mrs. L. J. Slyfield and Miss J. Ritter, and humorous recitations were given by Miss Moira Hoben, songs by Messrs. G. M. Whitelock (Newbury) and Bert Venner, and sleight of hand and card tricks by Mr. W. Taylor, all being encored. Miss N. Pickett Was accompanist. After supper pictures, both moving and still, depicting scenes in Jersey just before the war, Germany, England and America were sereened by Mr. G. H. Bell. Typical views of New Zealand were sereened by Mr. G. H. Daurch, secretary of the Jersey Breeders' Association.
