Native Claim Settlement
Preliminary inquiries with a view to arriving at a definite and early settlement of the native claims are in progress, Mr. Nash said in his Budget speech in Parliament. Steps are being taken in an endeavour to reach agreement of a nature that will ensure continuing advantages and benefits to the Maori people in full accord with the merits of their case.
