Improving 'Chaser.

Smoogcr followed a good cffort at Pakuranga with a flne second to Indian Sun at Hawera on Saturday, and it was only indian Sun's more seasoned condition that enabled him to win. Smooger is a member of the same family as Cuddle and Padishah, being by Lord Quex from Fondle, and was a gift from the breeder, Mr. \V. G. Clifton, to Mr. G. D. Beatson. He should win next time out.
