Rec. 6.30 p.m. Chungking, Aug. 31 The Chinese have re-occupied Sungyang, destroying half the Japanese defenders and driving the remainder eastward. Since their recapture of aerodromes from which Japan could be bombed the Chinese have kept up the attack and are now only 12 miles from Kinliwa, the most important of all these airfields.
