N.Z. Pilots Took Part In Malta Convoy Battle
Special Correspondent.
Rec. 6.30 p.m. London, Aug. 31. New Zealanders serving in the Fleet Air Arm operated from aircraft-carriers which were part of the force involved in the recent Malta convoy battle. Sub-Lieu-tenant F. Pennington (Wellington) shot dowii two Italians. Sub-Lieutenants Hugh Morrison (Masterton) and D. Hill (Wellington) shot down one each.
