Stratford Rainfall

Although Stratford rainfall figures for last month are only 5.54 inches, compared with 13.24 inches in August, 1941, the variation may be partly due to the fact that figures for 1941 were kept in the Stratford borough, whereas the figures have now for the past year been kept by the Public Works Department's substation on Ohura Road, about two miles from the borough. It is not unusual for rain to fall at Stratford, while it is fine a mile or two outside the town.
