Gestapo Gains Control Over German Justice
Rec. 11.30 p.m. London, Aug. 29. The Tass agency quotes a Geneva report that the Gestapo chief, Herr Himmler, and the new Nazi Minister of Justice, Dr. Thierack, have jointly issued Lnstrixctions on relations between the judiciary and the Gestapo. The instructions provide for virtual control and eupervision of local legalities by the Gestapo. Legal investigation in many instances is transferred to the Gestapo and judges are restricted to formal questioning and sentencing.
