Soldier Honoured at Mahoe

A complimentary dance given in honour of Private Selwyn C. Rowe in the Mahoe ball was attended by a large crowd. Mr. B. Hutchen, chairman of the soldiers' welfare committee, presented Private Rowe with a wristlet walch irom district residents. An extra was played by Mrs. Gibbs, Lowgarth. Mr. B. Wilson was master of ceremonies. Miss Rona Mellow, of ihe Auckland Teachers' Training College, is visiting her mother, Mrs. H. T. E. Mellow. Miss M. McAloon, of the Auckland Teachers' Training Coilege, is visiting her mother, Mrs. W. McAloon.
