Wedding

Sutton — Johnston In St. Andrew's Church, |New Plymouth, on August 8 , Andrjna Helen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 'R. G. Johnston, New Plymouth, was married to Henry Sydney, son of Mr.. and Mrs. L. Sutton, "New Plymouth. The Rev. J. D. McL. Wilson officiated. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a gown of white corded silk, with scalloped heartshaped neckline. The bodice was shirred, and the skirt fell into a pleated ti-ain. A head-dress of her pleated tulle ' veil was held by a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of white winter roses, camellias and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Violet Johnston, sister ofthe bride, and Miss Winifred Sutton, sister of the bridegroom, were frocked irt violet and pink shot taffetas, and wore gold lockets, gifts of | the bridegroom. They wore pink plaited coronets, finished with a spray of violets, and carried bouquets of .pink winter roses, daphne and violets. The flower girl was Judith Morris, niece of the bride. As the bride left; the church she was presented with a silver horse shoe by her niece. Mr. L. F. Coley, Wellington, was best man, and Mr. L. G. Morris, New Plymouth, was groomsman. Mrs. A. Wilson played the organ. A reception was held in the Pukekura Park tea kiosk, where the bride's mother wore a blapk marocaine frock, and the bridegroom's mother a navy frock A threetier wedding cake was made and presented by the bridegroom's mother. When she left for the north, the bride wore a navy pin striped tailored costume, with navy accessories.
