Death of Mr. G. Whitworth Occurs Suddenly

Tlie death of Mr. George Francis WhitworGi occurred suddenly at his home at Hawera on Saturday morning. Mr. Whitworth, who was aged 58 ycars, was for the past eight years manager of the Hawera retail store for the Farmers' Co-operative Organisation Society of New Zealand Ltd. He was with the Canterbury Farmers'Co-opera-tive Association at Timaru for a long period, and in May, 1932, arrived in Taranaki as manager of the Farmers' Stratford store, where he remained for two years until his appointment to Hawera. His interests were centred on St. Mary's Anglican Church, where he was a member of the choir and a vestryman. Mr. Whitworth is survived by his wife and one son, Mr. Herbert Whitworth, who is doing meteorological work in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, and one daughter, Miss Freda Whitworth.
