Inter-Divisional Basketball Decided at New Plymouth
An inter-divisional representative basketball tournament was held at Fitzroy courts on Saturday under favourable conditions. There were six teanis, Coastai A and B, Northern A and H, cent-al and southern. Play was of a higli standard and good games were witnessed. Crisp passing, good posltional play, and accurate goal throwing were features of the games. Besults were: — Coastai B 7 beat Northern A (5, Southern 1fi beat Coastai It 4, Northern A 7 beat Southern 5, Coastai A 14 beat Northern R 3, Coastai A 10 beat Central 7, Central 9 beat Northern 1> 4. Central fi beat Goastal 15 4, Southern 0 beat Northern A 4, Coastai A 10 beat Southern 3, Northern A (i beat Northern 15 .">. Referees were Messrs. 15. Grant, I.. Clnpham, Doody, M. McGlashan, I.. Skipper. Afternoon tea was served hy Miss 15. Allen and senior glrls of the Fitzroy school.
