Miss May Burmester has returned from Auckland, where she was a guest at the Pattison — Cook wedding. Mrs. A. Jones, Auckland, Mrs. Cyril Hurlstone and Mrs, H. Bayly, Inglewood, were recently guests of Mrs. H. E. Wilmshurst. Miss Shirley Nowell visited New Plymouth recently. Miss Mavis Colins, Hawera, has been staying with Mrs. A. M. Walter. Mrs. C. E. Cook, who visited Auckland to attend her daughter's wedding, has returned home. Miss C. Uniacke has left to spend a holiday at Wellington. Mrs. L. Pepperal is visiting New Plymouth. Miss Dorothy Amess is spending the holidays at Auckland. Miss Eileen Cuff has left to visit her home at Christchurch. Mrs. V. Wolfe has returned from Auckland. Mrs. B. Carlyle, Auckland, is staying with her mother, Mrs. R. E. Kivell. Miss M. Carhill is visiting Hawera. Mrs. A. Powell, Normanby, is the guest of Mrs. H. Alvis. Mesdames Gentry, O'Neill snr. and J. O'Neill, who were guests of Mrs. J. H. Kirkby, have returned tt> Wellington. Mrs. H. V. F. Simonsen has left for her future home at Wellington.
