A competition was won by Mrs. S. G. Smith. Former Y.W.C.A. Secretary. Miss K. Scotter, who was general secretary of the New Plymouth Y.W.C.A. for several years, has been appointed vice-president of the Burwood Girls Home, Christchurch. Miss Scotter was honorary child welfare officer at New Plymouth and later was child welfare officer at Christchurch.
