Crusade For Victory Organised by Women

A crusade for victory organised by the national co-ordinating cornmittee of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union and Women's Institutes of New Zealnd, has been started with the object of having all New Zealand's food requirements grown w'ithin the Dominion and the line of supply to Great Britain and the Allied forces kept up, is to begin now to relieve the shortage of shipping space by growing more potatoes and other vegetables and increasing egg production. The co-operation of city, town and country women in a united and consolidated effort is sought. The Pahiatua branch of the W.D.F.U., under Mrs. Cornelius Walker, originated the scheme. Other societies and individuals are to be invited to work with the W.D.F.U.
