Bamboo Islands As Plane Bases
Rec. 8.30 p.m. Chungking, Aug. 27. The . United Press correspondent says the Japanese are using floating islands in the Pacific, possibly made of bambpo and large enough for aeroplanes to land on, according to the spokesman at the Chinese military office, He added that intelligence ' officers, had photographed an island which was used for refuelling and as a rest station for planes and pilots.
