Okoke School Concert

There was a large attendance at the Okoke .ichool's annual concert and dance. The first part of the evening was spent in dancing hy the children and the following concert programme was given : — Grand march, school : "Home on the Range," school: recitation, Donny Soie ; singing game, "Jolly Miller," lower schooi ; S/ong. lower school : "Whrfstle While You Work." senior pupils; singing game, "Duke of York." lower school; recitation. Nancye Darke : Maori song, Sara nnd Cassie Kapo ; recitation, lower room : song. "I.amp Lighting Time in the Valiey," upper room : singing game. "Farmor in the Dell," lower sehool ; dialogue, senior pupils: singing game, "Cobblcr Cobbler," lower pupils. A Monte Carlo waltz for higher school pupils was won by I-abel Sole and Steve George. and one for the lower school pupils hy Ciare Torrill and Owen Cloke. A lucky spot waltz was won hy Jack McLellan and Betty Stokes. An adult's Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs. H. Blundell and Mr. N. Blundell. Boxes of spring flowers'were presented hy Berys Vincent to Mrs. G. Cartwright and Miss M. Carrad. Dance music was played by Mr. and Mrs. G. Cartwright, Miss M. Wiilison and Mrs. II. Collingwood.
