N.P. Scottish Women's Club

Birthday celebrations of the New Plymouth Scottish Women's Club were held in the Mon Desir tearooms, when visitors were welcomed by the president, Mrs. D. M.. Findlay. Scottish stories were related by Mrs. Blundell. A musical progranime was provided by Mesdames Beesley, Edwards, Avery, Hawkins and J. Sutherland, with recitations by Mrs. T. S. B. Paton. Mr. Mowat ilayed a selection of Scottish numbers on an acocrdion, and also played for a solo dance by Catherine Hardgraves. Mrs. Conner presented the birthday cake. Mrs. F. Charman won a written competition. Mrs. Findlay read telegrams from Auckland, Feilding and Urenui conveying birthday greetings.
