Miss Lynne Stainton, of the nursing staff of the Napier hospital, is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. P. E Stainton. Mrs. T. Davis, Waverley, is the guesl of Miss Nora Kelly. Mrs. I. Chirnside, formerly Miss Bar. bara Wagstaff, has arrived from Palmerston North to visit New Plymouth. Mrs. Ivan Henderson, Tikorangi, is visiting her mother, Mrs. L. Faull. Mesdames E. Scott, Mildreth and D. Highet, Wellington, are guests at the Criterion Hotel, New Plymouth, Funds For Invalid Chair. The gardening circle of the Taranaki Womens Club held a successful bring-and-buy afternoon yesterday to raise funds for an invalid chair for use by returned soldiers in the New Plymouth hospital. Arrangements were organised by Mrs. Franklin White, convener oi the circle. Mrs. A. T. Lawn contributed several songs to the afternoon's entertainment.
