Kakaramea Card Party

At a flag flve hundred card party and dance organised by the Kakaramea soldiers' comforts committee card play was controlled by Mr. T. Close. Prizewinners were Mesdames L. Hunt, Allen, Ward and Mr. Stellard; Miss M. Ward, Miss P. Fox, Mr. J. Wishnowsky and Mr. H. Ward consoiation; Mrs. R. Northcolt and Mr. A. Frank (most tlags) ; Mr. C. Hurley (travelling prize). Mrs. A. Tidswell and Mr. B. Tidswell pjayed dance music. Miss Ward and Mr. T. Rangi won a Monte Carlo waltz Hostesses were Mesdames Ward and Wilton. Mrs. J. Johnson has left the district to live at Wanganui. Mrs. Coote recently vlsited Marton. Mrs. Gatton, Stratford, is the guest of her daughfer, Mrs. A. Tidswell.
