Welbourn Soldier Entertained.
Eriends, oltl pupils, teachers and niembci's of the school and welfare comniittei'? of the Welbourn district attcnded a sorial evening in ihe Welbourn school bait. New Plymouth, in honour of Private D. R. Mc[saac. Dancing and conimunity singing were held. A tap dance vas given by M liaker, P. Young ati.l M. I.ongiuan, and an adagin dance by Rita Spence. Miss I. Anihonv, hendniistrcss. presented Private Melsaac with an engraved fountain pen and a weil-fllled wallet. Private Mclsnae was one of the originnl pupils on Ihe roll when the school opened in 1932. Mr, C. Frewin. chairman of the school committc, also spoke.
