Secret Airfield And Transmitters Seized
Rec. 11.10 p.m. New York, Aug. 24. The New York Post's Rio de Janeiro correspondent says the Brazilian air force discovered a secret airfield at Formosa, in Goyaz State, 600 miles from the capital, where .they captured a powerful radio transmitter and the operators. Another clandestine transmitter was discovered in a concentration camp for Axis spies at Flower Island. Brazii has coofiscated Axis ships for which purchase agreements had previously been made, and has also closed ' three of the largest Axis-operated banks.
